Dr. Taguchi’s specialties in obstetrical care include low- and high-risk deliveries, 2D/3D/4D ultrasound, and fertility counseling. His gynecological expertise includes laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, advanced screening technology, and radiofrequency treatments such as VOTIVA for vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty. Dr. Taguchi received his medical degree from Yokohama City University School of Medicine in Japan and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yokohama City University Hospital. He went on to earn a PhD in Endocrinology from Yokohama City University Graduate School before coming to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.

At UAMS, Dr. Taguchi served as a Research Fellow under Dr. Stavros Manolagas, a renowned endocrinologist in osteoporosis research and Director of the Center for Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases. His research has been published in leading medical journals around the world. To continue his medical career in the United States, Dr. Taguchi completed a second residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UAMS, where he trained with nationally recognized maternal-fetal medicine specialists and was selected as Chief Resident during his fourth year.

Dr. Taguchi’s extensive background in academic research gives him a unique perspective on women’s health, particularly in the areas of reproductive health, hormones, and aging.

At the heart of Dr. Taguchi’s approach is a commitment to listening carefully and understanding each patient’s individual needs and concerns. He uses advanced technology and evidence-based treatment options to provide highly personalized care, developing treatment plans that reflect each woman’s goals, lifestyle, and stage of life.

His practice incorporates state-of-the-art technology, including VOTIVA radiofrequency treatments for concerns related to vaginal laxity, urinary incontinence, pelvic floor function, and sexual wellness. From a woman’s early reproductive years through pregnancy, menopause, and beyond, Dr. Taguchi is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care at every stage.

Dr. Taguchi and his wife, Gina, live in Oklahoma with their daughter, Rozina. Outside of his practice, he enjoys skiing, fly fishing, golfing, and music. Medicine also runs in his family. His father practiced as an OB/GYN physician in Japan for 46 years, and Dr. Taguchi is proud to continue that legacy of caring for women.

Dr. Taguchi is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, and the Japanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Taguchi has served as Chief of Staff of Obstetrics at Stillwater Medical Center on multiple occasions. He was also recognized by Stillwater Medical Center as a “Heroes Among Us” honoree for his outstanding obstetrical care and received a Top Doctor Award in 2018.
